4 now charged in cocaine-related shooting New Year’s Eve

The New Year’s Eve shooting of a 34-year-old man on Wakunda Place at O’Connor Drive has now led to the arrest of four people, two of them minors. Previously, Brendan Graham, 20, and a youth, 17, were charged. Now police have apprehended two more persons. Christopher Lucas, 18, of Toronto and a 16-year-old are charged. The lengthy list of charges laid and the particular references to cocaine suggest the incident was fueled by this narcotic. The list is remarkable.

A boy, 17, of Toronto, whose name cannot be released under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice act, was arrested and charged with:

4) Use Firearm During the Commission of an Indictable Offence
5) two counts of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
6) two counts of Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
7) Discharge Firearm with intent to Wound or Endanger Life
8) two counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm
9) two counts of Careless Storage of Ammunition
10) Robbery with a Firearm
11) two counts of Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime
12) Possession of a Loaded Firearm
13) two counts of Fail to Comply Recognizance

Brandon Graham, 20, of Toronto, has been charged with:

1) Attempt Murder
2) Aggravated Assault
3) Assault with a Weapon
4) Use Firearm During the Commission of an Indictable Offence

6) two counts of Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

11) two counts of Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime

10) Careless Use of a Firearm weapon prohibited device or ammunition
11) Careless Storage of a Firearm
12) Carry Firearm or ammunition in a careless manner
13) Possession of a Firearm knowing serial number has been tampered with
14) two counts of Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with ammunition
15) Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
16) Trafficking in a Firearm
17) Possession of Crack Cocaine
18) Possession for the Purpose Trafficking Crack Cocaine
19) Fail to Comply Probation

In addition, a sixteen-year old boy, of Toronto, who cannot be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was also arrested. He is charged with:

1) Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
2) Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
3) Possession of a Firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
4) Careless Storage of a firearm
5) Carry Firearm or ammunition in a Careless manner
6) Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime
7) Possession of a Firearm knowing serial number has been tampered with
8) Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
9) Possession of Crack Cocaine
10) Possession for the Purpose Trafficking Crack Cocaine
