The GTHL Minor Bantam A East Conference championship has been won by the Don Mills Mustangs in a 3-2 thriller against the Leaside Flames. The series required six points to win and was played out to a fourth game Friday night at the Etobicoke Canlan 4 complex on Martingrove Road. Mustang forward Damien McDonald had two goals and Rhys Mroueh scored the game winner on a setup by Chris Prangikos. Fans and parents agreed it was a shame that somebody had to lose the season at all. Bulldog reader Jane Domenico was saying this week that a number of the 15-and-under members of both teams are students at Bessborough Public School. The quality of the play by these two teams is a win for all of Leaside.
