The two girls aged 12 and 14 who died Wednesday night in a head-on collision on Highway 6 south of Hamilton had been on a play excursion with other children. The group had been playing laser tag. They were heading back to the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation when a northbound car crossed the centre line and struck their van. The 21-year-old driver of the car was also killed. A news conference held Thursday in Caledonia confirmed the deaths and the serious injuries to the 27-year-old man driving the van and four other young people from that vehicle.
