Police seek man after improper advance on boy at library

Police are seeking the identity of this man who they say made improper advances in a note to 12-year-old boy in a public library at 620 Jane Street. The boy immediately told the library staff and the man fled. He is described as 18-20, 5’10”, thin build with black hair shaved on the sides. He was wearing black Adidas trackpants, black jacket, shirt with Blue Jays logo on it, carrying a black backpack.


A 42-year-old Toronto man, Najeeb Saadis, is in custody for allegedly luring a boy, 14, with apps lie Grindr, Snapchat and Kik and sexually assaulted him. The boy believed he was communicating with another teen. Police say the accused sent nude images to the boy. They are seeking other possible victims. Saadis, is charged with two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual interference and one count of luring a child under the age of 16. He was known to use usernames including “AJ S,” “AjSaad123,” and “asaad942” on Grindr, Snapchat and Kik. He is drives a  drive a black Range Rover SUV.
