2012 College St. hit scheme to steal cocaine from dealer

The murder-for-hire hit on drug dealer John (Little John) Raposo in the summer of 2012 was motivated by rivals in the illicit trade to steal a 200-kg shipment of cocaine from Raposo, a Toronto court has heard. The accused are Nicola Nero, Martino Caputo and Rabih Alkhalil. The killing left the patio of the Sicilian Sidewalk Cafe at College Street at Montrose Ave flowing with blood after the alleged hired gunman, Dean Wiwchar, pumped several shots into Raposo during a Euro Cup televised game. On the first day of trial Wedneday, prosecutors said the four orchestrated the hit on Raposo partly for financial reasons and partly because he had harmed two of them in some way.
