“Boy Tattoo” who beheaded Canadians killed in Philippines

Philippine troops say they have killed the terrorist guerilla who beheaded Canadian hostages John Risdel and Robert Hall last year. He is identified as Moammer Askali, also known as Boy Tattoo.  Five other Abu Sayyaf gunmen were killed in the fighting on Tuesday, along with four soldiers and policemen in the battle in a far-flung coastal village on Bohol island. Abu Sayyaf militants continue to hold at least 29 captives in Sulu’s jungles, many of them foreign tugboat and cargo ship crewmen seized at the sea border between the southern Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia. Abu Sayyaf claims to be part of Al-Qaeda but they seem more like pirates in the ransom business. Justice for Robert Hall
