Twitter is afire Sunday evening with hockey fans at home and in the U.S. congratulating Edmonton Oilers fans for singing the US national anthem with enthusiasm when the PA system failed. One fan tweeted “hockey fans in the USA should take notice.” “The Edmonton Oilers fans sing an awesome rendition of The Star Spangled Banner, ” said another. “Golly, those Canadian folks are friendly to belt out the Star Spangled Banner as well as Oh Canada. Great job”, said Jeff Ulmer. The Oilers lead the series two games to one after the Ducks defeated them 6-3 Sunday. Twitter
