Police are seeking two men in the shooting death overnight of 24-year-old Samatar Farah found lying in a Scarborough parking lot. He suffered several bullet wounds. Two men were seen fleeing. The location is near Victoria Park and Finch Ave. E.


Details remain limited in the death of a man who was struck and killed by a streetcar on Spadina Ave near Sullivan Street Friday. His age is given Saturday as 65.


Five garages in the College and Dufferin Sts. area have been vandalized with anti-LGBTQ graffiti. Police are seeking the perpetrators. One of the homes is owned by a prominent LGBTQ businessman.


Canadian Press is reporting that an 86-year-old condominium dweller is suing his condo association and an elevator company for negligence. The story, by reporter Colin Perkel, says Kenneth Smookler is asking for $25,000 in damages because of the failure of the Schindler Elevator to employ adequate staff to service its elevators. He describes how an elevator in his condo stopped inches above the floor causing him to pitch forward out of the car and injure his surgically replaced knees.
