Motorcyclist hit, killed by car leaving North York driveway

A motorcyclist has died from injuries when his bike collided with a Jeep leaving a driveway about 7 p.m. near Leslie Street and Van Horne Avenue in North York Wednesday.  The Jeep is said to have “sideswiped” the motorcycle at the private driveway on the west side of Leslie Street near Corning Road. “The vehicle entered into traffic off of a driveway, so essentially what we have is a vehicle that failed to yield to through traffic as it entered the roadway,” said Clinton Stibbe told CBC. The motorcyclist was a 30-year old resident of Oshawa and the driver is 46.
