Regina woman charged with human smuggling from US

RCMP allege that a Regina woman has been picking up a bit of cash by doing some human smuggling. This as the Mounties stopped nine foreign nationals on a remote site on the Canadian border between North Portal, N.D., and Northgate, Saskatchewan. The land is flat and populated mostly by grain elevators. But police claim that Michelle Omoruyi, 43, has been adding to the inhabitants by violating the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. They call it human smuggling and conspiracy to commit human  There were arrests made in the US as well. The refugees were taken into custody at the border site, an invisible place on the 49th Parallel. RCMP said a significant amount of cash was seized from a house connected to Omoruyi.
