Among the CBC’s most read stories Wednesday we find news that Hormel Foods in the US has stopped shipping Skippy peanut butter to this country. There are all sorts of reasons offered for this. Canada has too few people and too many miles between cities, there’s no room on the shelf at Loblaws after the PC brand is stocked, it is easy for stores to grind their own and, finally, there are just an awful lot of peanut butter brands.
