Scourge of street racing leaves three gravely hurt overnight

Three people are gravely injured in hospital Saturday after what is said to have been a street racing accident in Mississauga. . As often happens, amateur drivers lose control of their  cars. Tempers ran rather high in a Scarborough parking lot early Saturday during a tussle outside of AllStar Wings & Ribs near McCowan and Ellesmere roads at around 3 a.m. During the melee, someone got behind the wheel of a car and intentionally struck four people. Nice crowd. Apparently no one was seriously hurt.


Toronto police shot and killed a bear in a Scarborough backyard early Saturday unable to locate or organize specialists in drugging the creature.  The 300-pound bruin was spotted near the area of Tapscott Road and Finch Avenue East.. It was seen walking around the neighbourhood, making its way through backyards and going through garbage cans. One resident said it banged on the door of her home. According to unconfirmed reports, the animal was an adult black bear.

    It’s not expensive to take advanced skid pad, threshold braking, and cornering training, which will not only make you a far better driver but also train these amateurs to NOT do this in the street. A lot cheaper than their cars, for sure.

    Go join an auto cross league if you want to go fast in your car. I guarantee you’ll have more fun and risk no one.
