Anthony Soares was carefully followed and then cut down at a Glamorgan Ave apartment building last Thursday. A man with him was apparently allowed to live. Soares, a father and associate of the rap celebrity Drake, died in a hail of shots in the lobby of the apartment. One suspect delayed his escape to wipe fingerprints off of a door frame. Speaking at a briefing Tuesday, Det. Sgt. Gary Giroux said Soares was sitting in the passenger seat of a friend’s car carrying takeout food as they pulled up to the lobby of a building at 6 Glamorgan near Kennedy Road and Progress Avenue at about 2:53 a.m.

As Soares got into the entryway of the building and hit a buzzer to be let in, Giroux said the two assailants carrying handguns got out of a White Ford Fusion and began to fire at him through the building lobby glass. The surveillance video shown here is quite disturbing.
