2 teens badly hurt as van with 7 aboard hits tree in west end

Six youths between 18 and 16 were injured, two gravely, when their van went off the road in an open parkland part of Toronto near St. Clair Ave. W  and Weston Rd. The vehicle hit a tree after going into a ditch near the intersection of Rockcliffe Blvd. and Woolner Ave/Terry Dr. A seventh teen in the van was unhurt, police said. This occurred before 1 a.m. and tweeted comments from witnesses at the scene suggest there had been speeding.
