Welcome back. That’s the Uptown BIA Christmas Tree all alight Friday at upper left. It was the seventh year the tree has been lighted at St. Clement’s Parkette, Yonge St. and St. Clement Ave. Then, across the top you see worthy events both Saturday and in the days ahead. Take a look. Centre left, historian Liz McFarland @EAMcFarland posted a fine wayback playback of the Davis building at Yonge and Davisville (now Starbucks) when it was Grainger’s Flowers in 1953. Note the concrete median in the centre of Yonge as pedestrians wait to cross. To the right, South Bayview food with duck from Avenue Bistro (top) and fish and chips from Original’s (below).
