Lambert Moo in Leaside at Tao Northern Chinese Cuisine

Upper left, friends of Lambert Moo will wish to know that he is working Saturday and Sundays at Tao Northern Chinese Cuisine at 220 Laird Dr. Moo was the owner of the popular lunch spot Chai on Bayview for many years. Top centre, two Canadian novelists, R. J. Harlick and Ken Ogilvie, will be at the Sleuth of Baker Street at 907 Millwood Rd. on February 1 from 6 to 7.30 p.m. Top right, he’s back. The promotional figure gyrating outside Bros. Cuisine is known as an air dancer. Lower left, the restaurant space at 1614 Bayview is for lease. Old timers are hoping for the return of a simple menu eatery like Diner 55. It was there 15 years ago. Next, meet Rev Jeff Rock, the new pastor of Metropolitan Community Church in Riverdale. He takes over from Brent Hawkes. Moving right, it’s the last Mac’s parking sign in town as the Quebec firm that owns the name goes about turning Southern Ontario into Texas (Circle K that is). This one remains on a vacant store at the corner of Eglinton and Petman Ave. Finally,  Residents are invited to drop off spare ice skates to the office of Davisville Junior Public School. They will go to good use on February 9 at the Annual Skate night at Hodgson Public School.
