Cold weather and “seasonal offsets” are said to be slowing progress on the Costco store set to open this year at 42 Overlea Blvd. A brief statement from agents for the sales club says the company is hoping to be open by sometime in April. The structure, which sits opposite the East York Town Centre and incorporates the architectural frontage of the former Coca Cola office, is mostly closed in and a new intersection has been created for the parking lot, which also seems to be well defined. An estimate six months ago targeted a February opening, but with a caveat that the incorporation of the Coke building might complicate this. Work continues daily.
