A Leaside mom is telling of an incident in which a man in a hoodie tried to get into a car driven by her teen daughter as it was stopped for the light on Fleming Cres at Bayview Ave. Creepy. Here’s the story as told by the mom: “Our 19-year-old daughter was in our car (Wednesday) around 10:15 p.m. and was stopped at the light at Fleming and Bayview waiting to make a left. She noticed a man in a dark green hoodie sitting on the bench that is in front of the bike store beside the corner variety store. She took notice but kept calm. He then walked around the back of the car and tried to aggressively open the passenger side door. Thank God the car was locked!! My daughter immediately made a right turn and left him there. He either wanted money, the car, to do her harm or both. She did report it. The man is white, medium build. She could not see his face as the hoodie was purposely pulled down low to cover his face.
