Rosedale-Toronto Centre MP Bob Rae has been named interim leader of the Liberal Party of Canada. He promised to help rebuild the once dominent party, which was bounced out of the Official Opposition spot in the May 2 election. Rae struck the right note of humility telling reporters that voters sent “a very clear and tough message in the last election. We know that we have a lot of rebuilding to do.” Mr. Rae, 62, an accomplished pianist, referenced a popular jazz standard when he said Liberals must “pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and start all over again.” (We all know what piano playing did for Stephen Harper).
