The Tea Emporium at 1592 South Bayview will close shortly because it cannot pay the rent increase required by the landlord. In a sad statement posted on the window of the shop, the owners say they have made the decision with “heavy heart and great difficulty.” They say, “Unfortunately, our rent has been increased to the point where it is no longer sustainable.” The Tea Emporium invites customers to visit the branch location at the corner of Eglinton Ave. W. and Braemar Avenue. (Not too far from Homefront on Eglinton West incidentally).
