Alessandro Settimi (seen with wife Alana) reports that his two shop business, The Mad Italian, has been sold. The gelato entrepreneur and his family established The Mad Italian last year, with the original store being at 1581 South Bayview next door to Homefront. The sale of the business was not planned but the result of a spontaneous offer to buy it. Alessandro says he and Alana and their infant daughter will return to Italy for a vacation and make their future plans there. The South Bayview Bulldog photo, January 18, 2010
