British PM promises 16,000 police tonight

The Brtish Prime Minister David Cameron has recalled Parliament and promised to send 16,000 police officers into the streets tonignt to stop unbridled riots and looting. It appears to be the last step to restore order before martial law is declared. The New Statesman Rolling Blog
