This is a CBC Television story about the promising technology known as Waste to Energy Incineration, or WtoE for short. There continues to be a forceful advocacy program against incineration in Toronto and in fact many schools teach opposition to incineration. But science is saying this approach is not sensible. WtoE is clean. When you factor in the exhaust of trucks used to move garbage to landfills, it is very clean. WtoE is used in many parts of Europe, Japan and in parts of the United States. In places like Toronto, which continue to foul farmland with garbage, this apparently clean and efficient method is being considered by forward thinking municipal officials.
