Some 30 thousand Muscovites formed a nine-mile ring around the city today to call for an end to the rule of Vladimir Putin. One woman (inset) quoted Russian literary giant Anton Chekhov urging Russians to “get the slave out of yourself.” Opposition leaders say the protests have “changed everything” but Putin is still expected to be re-elected President early in March.
