The market dedicated to the promotion of fresh food and local sourcing of food will open in June Rowlands Park at Mt Pleasant Rd. and Davisville Ave on June 5, 2012. It will set up every Tuesday through the summer between 3 and 7 p.m. until October 17, 2012. Last year the market was located on a small stretch of Orchard View Blvd. west to the Yonge Eglinton Centre but there is construction there this year. Appletree Markets is a non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting a local, community shopping experience. The market was started by Lesley Stoyan and Chris Trussell, co-owners of Daily Apple, a North Toronto based natural lifestyle company, specializing in food and fitness programs. http://www.appletreemarkets.ca/
