The stone home at 7 Southlea Avenue (inset above) is razed and presumably will rise again in new form like the mythical bird. The house was a long time being knocked down as builders worked at the rear preparing for what appears to be an extensive addition. Many homes along Southlea, like next-door No 5, have large additions.
