Rona chief resigns as some see Lowes still lurking

The man who put together the Canada-wide Rona empire, Robert Dutton, is resigning in the wake of Q3 profits that fell by 90 percent on competition and one-time costs. It ends a two decade run in which Dutton performed an amazing do-it-yourself achievement. Taking over on an interim basis will be Dominique Boies, executive vice president and CFO. Many see this move as offering another chance for the U.S. DYI home fixer Lowes to make a bid  for Rona..
