George Mammoliti (Ward 7) accepted as much as $80,000 for what has been called a fundraising dinner for him. The City integrity commissioner Janet Leiper has concluded that Mammoliti broke the rules and may have his pay docked for it. A local lawyer, Brian Iler, says Mammoliti should be investigated by the police. Iler started the integrity probe by complaining to Leiper’s office when he heard about the fundraiser on the CBC.
