Oh gee. Forgive us for smiling behind our hand but this linked story about how to avoid social media regret reminds us of the time fathers used to “have a talk” with their sons. Maybe they still do. The first generation of Internet users had to learn that email was forever. The words lie on a server owned by God knows who and it doesn’t matter if you beg the recipeint to destroy the message — it still lives on and on. Now it is even easier to let loose the unfinished judgement of youth on Twitter and whatever.
