Natural gas break gets temporary fix on Yonge

A gas line break at Yonge Street and Lawrence Ave was given a temporary fix early Friday after a garbage truck in reverse smashed the above-ground pipe on the side of a building. The accident occurred about 4.30 a.m. and was fixed  just before 7:30 a.m. For a while. police closed Yonge from Melrose Avenue to Glenforest Road.
