Former mayor Ford will have surgery to remove a cancerous tumour on May 11, 2015. Mr.Ford has a tumour in his abdomen and a small tumour in his back. Both have shrunk considerably over a period of chemotherapy. A team of four surgeons will operate on Ford, who says the entire operation is expected to last eight-to-10 hours. Ford thanked the public for its support. He will have a considerable recovery period lasting perhaps until September.
