Unknown disruption: Rogers wireless “being restored”

Customers of Rogers wireless network were without cellphone and text messaging service on Saturday (July 25, 2015). .The annoyance and grief was easily seen on Twitter and elsewhere. Most of the failures were Ontario, British Columbia, Manitoba and Alberta. A spokesman for Rogers confirmed that customers may have experienced “intermittent disruption in service.” The spokesman said in an e-mail sent at 5 p.m. that service was being restored and the company has apologized for the inconvenience.

  1. Rogers cable VIP service has been out for since July 18/15 in Orangeville to Barrie areas that I am aware of. It is July 26/15, still no sign of repair. They are less than honest about their problem, they will not acknowledge there is a problem but offer credits, the amount varies depending on how loud you complain. We have missed many Pan-Am sports CBC farmed out, IE soccer. Areas serviced by Bell fibe are not affected because Rogers would lose all their clients. Try calling their executive offices to complain, they will transfer you to “mangers customer service”, a group of junior clerks offering credits. I’d give them the boot however I have $1800 invested in those dam boxes which are proprietary. Worse company in Canada for customer service and they hired a “Google” exec to clean it up, guess he is not working out
