A funny thing happened on a four-block taxi ride on Mt. Pleasant Rd. last Wednesday (August 5, 2015) Someone put morphine medication in the trunk of a taxi and completely forgot about it. He, she or they got into the cab near Mt. Pleasant and Davisville and drove to Mt.Pleasant and Eglinton Ave. E. They paid, presumably, and the cab drove off with the drugs. The cab driver forgot too. Or so the story goes, as told to 53 Division Police. Naturally the cops are eager to find the drugs. The lost medication was in a bag which contained four morphine pills. The pills could be harmful or fatal if ingested, especially to children. Anyone finding the medication is asked not to handle it, but to contact police at 416-808-5300, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), online at www.222tips.com, text TOR and your message to CRIMES (274637).
