The CIBC branch at 1529 Bayview Ave. re-opens tomorrow (Monday. November 9, 2015) a harbinger perhaps of digital delights yet to come in Canadian banking. We know the tellers are still on staff but they have other jobs, at least nominally. Will you still see the same faces? We’re not sure but as this peek through the locked front doors on Sunday shows there is a new desk where once there was a counter and wickets. On the desk are several terminals. The sign on the desk says on the move. To the left, there’s what appears to be a souped up ATM. The picture below shows a wider view with offices still there and what appears to a new forward desk closer to the front door.
