The remains of Cédrika Provencher have been found in Quebec more than eight years after the 9-year-old girl disappeared in July of 2007 from near her home in Three Rivers. The disappearance triggered a huge search including hundreds of police and members of the public. The bones, which have now been confirmed as belonging to the girl, were found in  woods in nearby St. Maurice. The case has remained open.
