London Devilettes have eliminated Leaside Wildcats from further post season play with a 1-0 victory in London Saturday afternoon. The winning goal came at 8.22 of the first period from Lexie Adzija on a power play with assists from Emily Bowman and Bryce Desa Leaside was unable to score on London despite five power play opportunities. It is clear from the statistics that Leaside played hard. They fired 29 shots at Devilettes goal tender Molly Jenkins but she stopped them all. Katie Mowbray faced 22 shots in the Leaside net. The Wildcats had finished sixth in regular season play in the Provincial Women’s Hockey League. Their efforts earned them the best-of-five series against London which finished eleventh.
