Police release picture of water-for-vodka scam artist

vodka feat

The man alleged to have worked the water-for-vodka scam at the LCBO is pictured in a release from Toronto Police Tuesday. The crime apparently required the man to buy bottles and vodka and return them supposedly unopened (which is allowed) but in the meantime he had replaced the vodka with water. The picture was taken at an LCBO location. Police say the man pulled this trick at several LCBO locations between December 2015 and January 2016. The suspect is described as six-feet tall with short brown hair. Police also say he had facial hair and was wearing sport sunglasses. Anyone with information about this suspect is asked to contact police at 416-808-5100 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
