2 Canadians on EgyptAir flight MS804 government says

A Canadian passenger on EgyptAir Flight MS804 has been identified as Marwa Hamdy.  She was one of two Canadians who was on the flight that disappeared while en route from Paris to Cairo early Thursday. CTV says that her friend Haleh Banani said Hamdy’s son contacted Banani’s family yesterday and told them the news. Banani said Hamdy was a project manager with IBM and she had three sons, ages 16, 13 and 11. “She balanced work and family very well,” Banani said. Banani told CTV Hamdy was born in Canada and moved to Cairo for post-secondary studies. She remained in Egypt after marrying an Egyptian. The Egyptian government said Friday that debris and passenger belongings from the ill-fated flight MS804 have been found about 180 miles from the City of Alexandria.
