Tridel will develop more than seven acres of land at Front St and Spadina Ave. including one of the few remaining surface parking lots in west-central downtown. The owners of the property are well-known names — RioCan, Allied Properties and DiamondCorp. The land sits adjacent to the Globe and Mail building which was built in 1963 as the home of the now defunct Toronto Telegram. It does not appear to be part of the deal. Work is set to begin next year.
