As reported by the CBC, the “professional tenant” James Regan, has been evicted for a third time. The latest case being the documented tenancy in a flat at Avenue Rd. and McMaster Ave. in the Republic of Rathnelly. The account is very lively and no doubt some will find it amusing notwithstanding Mr. Regan’s distress. He owes the landlord $10,000 but she is said to be confident at least that by October 24, the eviction date set by the Landlord and Tenant Board, she will be able to re-rent the apartment for a profit. Mr. Regan accused the board of being anti-semitic because it would not give him a further delay on grounds his lawyer had a Jewish holiday conflict but there was no evidence of this so the board dismissed it.
