Teen driver safety blitz Tues. at Northern Secondary School

Motorists in the South Eglinton area near Northern Secondary School Tuesday morning should watch it. NSS kids, police and others will be there from 8 to 8.45 a.m. as cops partner with Parachute Canada and the TDSB to help students stop cars that are being driven both safely and unsafely. It is the National Teen Driver Safety Week positive ticketing blitz. It includes pedestrians, cyclists and drivers. Approximately 30 students will be giving out tickets to fellow students as they enter the school. The goal of the blitz is to engage students in discussions about staying safe while operating a vehicle, or going to or from their destinations as pedestrians, cyclists or drivers.  You can follow the action on Twitter at #gethomesafe.
