It is being reported that the Ontario’s Liberal government commissioned a poll which showed that 94 per cent of residents were eager for relief from the cost of electricity. Then they pledged to lower rates. The poll’s outcome can hardly be news to anyone. The process seems a lot like asking people if taxes are too high. What seems just too unfortunate is that the government couldn’t figure out that it has driven the cost of power in Ontario to crushingly high levels without a poll. Were they expecting results which said rates were just ducky? CBC
