One in custody, two sought for 51 Division “crime wave”

Police have made an arrest and are seeking two more young men after a crime wave of sorts in downtown 51 Division which sits between Yonge and the Don Valley south of Bloor St.  Between Friday and Sunday three men committed four hold ups and one robbery.  They entered retail stores armed with a knife, went behind the counters and took money from the registers  In a bank in the Church Street/Wellesley Street East area one of the men tried to force a customer to hand over his withdrawal but there was a struggle. The customer disarmed the man, sustaining minor injuries  A search of the area by police resulted in the arrest of Tristan Clarke, 20, of no fixed address. Two others are sought. They are described as black, 20-25, 5’9″-5’11”, 180 lbs., wearing a black-and-yellow baseball cap and black clothing and white, 20-30, 5’9″, 150 lbs., wearing a red baseball cap, red hoodie, and jeans.
