Starbucks wine menu ends in U.S. but survives in Toronto

Who goes to Starbucks to drink pinot noir and eat truffle mac and cheese? Not many people, apparently. The company is nixing its “Evenings” program in the U.S. that brought beer, wine, and small plates to more than 400 stores. For reasons not stated, the program will continue in Toronto at three stores which were designated in 2016. The closest of these of 1740 Avenue Road at St. Germain Ave. Others are at 446 Spadina and 3074 Bloor St. West. Starbucks first tested the Evenings endeavor in 2010, and the company began rolling it out cross the U.S. in 2014. The Evenings menu includes items such as bacon-wrapped dates and spinach-artichoke dip alongside craft beer and wines — with Eater.
