Police wisely called off a brief chase yesterday (Friday) when a man in a Range Rover caused mayhem on Yorkville, Cumberland, Bay and Bloor before fleeing from the vehicle. Among other damage, he knocked down a lamp standard. A presumption may be made that the vehicle was stolen. It has plates and would not be hard to trace. The incident had pedestrians running for cover as the lunatic driver drove down sidewalks among other illegal and reckless behaviour.
