The annual 12 Division bicycle helmet giveaway will take place on Monday, April 3 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Elementary School on Gracefield Ave near Lawrence Ave. and Keele Street. It is now in its fourth year with different schools being supplied in 12 Division. Lawyers and staff of Jewell Radimiss Jorge Personal Injury Lawyers, Access Rehab Inc. will join police in the distribution of helmets. Students from the entire school will be receiving bicycle helmets with approximately 525 given away. The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon. The students will be fitted with the helmets, learn about cycling safely, rules of the road, as well as being taught how to ensure their helmets are fitted properly each time they ride.
