A collision between three trucks and an SUV on Highway 48 in Sutton has resulted in two fatalities. A boy, 10, was flown to HSC in Toronto hospital and is in stable condition. Another patient is in St. Michael’s Hospital with status unreported. OPP say this accident is a series of rear-end collisions in which a cube van and an SUV were caught between two gravel trucks. The deaths occurred in the cube van and SUV. It appears that construction in area required traffic to stop and that the fourth vehicle, a gravel truck with a pup trailer, did not.
