Through archival photographs and copies of original art works from the City of Toronto collections, Todmorden Mills: Then and Now explores Todmorden from its beginnings as an industrial community in the late 1790s to its establishment as a heritage site. Todmorden Mills Heritage Site was created for Canada’s Centennial in 1967, and celebrates its golden anniversary in 2017, along with the 150th birthday of our country. This exhibit is presented as part of TO Canada with Love, the City of Toronto’s year-long program of celebrations, commemorations and exhibitions honouring Canada’s 150th birthday.
