Little is known at posting time in the shooting death of a man near Gerrard St. East and River St. Saturday morning. Shots ere fired at about 1.30 a.m. and a second man is in serious condition. There are no names or information about whether a suspect is sought.
CAN’T STOP, PICKUP DRIVER BADLY HURT
A man driving a pickup truck rammed into the rear.of a transport truck on Highway 401 at Whitby late Friday. He is in grave condition in hospital. OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said construction delays in the area forced the driver of the transport truck to come to a stop in the middle lane of the highway.
