An Air Canada flight landed at San Francisco airport Sunday after it had been told not to by traffic controllers who were uncertain if the runway was fully clear. The landing was uneventful but it seems the Air Canada crew did not reply to radio transmissions nor to a so-called “red-light gun” alert used to communicate with planes when the radio fails. Air Canada has so far not commented. The flight originated in Montreal. CBC
